5.8.2. Replacement of laying of a head of the block of cylinders

At detection of a leak of engine oil or cooling liquid in junctions of a head of the block with the block of cylinders remove a head and replace its laying. The leak can arise and owing to a buckling of a head of the block because of its overheat.

It be required to you: the same tools, as for removal of a belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (see. «Replacement of a belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and its tension roller»), covers of a head of the block of cylinders (see. «Replacement of laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders»), the generator (see. «Removal and generator installation»), and also a face head «on 13», «on 16», a key «on 10», пассатижи, a dinamometrichesky key.

1. Reduce pressure in a power supply system if perform work right after a trip (see. «Pressure decrease in a power supply system»).

2. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

3. Merge cooling liquid (see. «Replacement of cooling liquid»).

4. Weaken a collar of fastening of a parootvodyashchy hose, having compressed its unbent ears, shift a collar on a hose...	5.... also remove a parootvodyashchy hose from a branch pipe of the case of the thermostat.

6. Similarly remove from a branch pipe of the case of the thermostat bringing hose of a radiator of system of cooling of the engine.	7. Weaken a collar of fastening of the hose which is taking away cooling liquid to the radiator of a heater, having compressed its unbent ears, shift a collar on a hose...

8.... also remove a hose from a thermostat branch pipe.	9. Disconnect a block of a plait of wires from a conclusion of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid.

10. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an arm of a block of a plait of wires of the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft...	11.... also take an arm assembled with a block aside.

12. Disconnect a cable tip from sector of a drive of a butterfly valve, take a cable braid from an arm and take a cable aside (see. «Adjustment and replacement of a cable of a drive with a butterfly valve»).	13. Disconnect a block of wires from the sensor of situation by a butterfly valve...

14.... from the idling sensor...	15.... from the sensor of absolute pressure in an inlet pipe...

16.... and from nozzles of system of injection of fuel. Weaken an inhaling of a collar and disconnect airbringing hose from a branch pipe of throttle knot.

17. Remove high-voltage wires (see. «Removal and installation of the coil of ignition»).

18. Compress a clamp...	19.... disconnect blocks of plaits of wires from conclusions of the coil of ignition...

20.... from the sensor of phases of a gazoraspredeleniye...	21.... also take plaits of wires aside.

22. Separate the plastic collar connecting a fuel stage and directing masloizmeritelny щупа.	23. Having hooked a collar a screw-driver, unclench it and disconnect a hose of supply of fuel from a fuel stage.

24. Weaken a collar of fastening of a vacuum hose to a receiver, having compressed its unbent ears, shift a collar on a hose...	25.... also disconnect a hose from a receiver.

26. Weaken an inhaling of a collar of a hose of ventilation of a case...	27.... also disconnect a hose from a receiver branch pipe.

28. Turn out two bolts of fastening of an inlet pipe to a supporting arm.	29. Unscrew three nuts of fastening of a reception pipe to a final collector and lower a reception pipe down.

30. Turn out ten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders to the block in the sequence shown on fig. 5.3, take bolts...

Prevention Bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders it is possible to turn on only on the cold engine.

31.... remove a head of the block of cylinders...

Good advice To remove a head of the block of cylinders it is more convenient with the assistant, as it quite heavy.

32.... and its laying.

33. Clear privalochny surfaces of a head of the block and the block of cylinders (surfaces should be dry and pure)...

34.... also remove oil from carving openings in the block of cylinders.

Prevention If not to remove oil from carving openings under bolts of fastening of a head of the block, at an inhaling of bolts in the block of cylinders there can be cracks, as oil not compressed.

35. Establish on the block of cylinders new laying, having centered it on two directing plugs.

36. Establish a head of the block of cylinders in sequence, return to removal.

37. Tighten bolts on the cold engine in the sequence shown on fig. 5.4, in three stages: the 1st — tighten bolts the moment of 30 N · m (3 kgfs · м); the 2nd — tighten bolts on a corner 90 °; the 3rd — finally wrap bolts on a corner 90 °.

38. Establish all details and knots as it should be, the return to removal.

39. Adjust a tension of a belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (see. «Check and adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism»).

40. Adjust a tension of belts of a drive of the generator and the conditioner compressor (see. «Check of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator and the conditioner compressor»), and also the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering (see. «Check and adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering»).

41. Adjust a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve (see. «Adjustment and replacement of a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve»).

42. Fill in cooling liquid (see. «Replacement of cooling liquid»).
