11.8.2. Removal, installation and adjustment of the lock of a cowl and its drive

It be required to you: a key «on 10», a screw-driver with a crosswise edge, a drill, a drill in diameter of 5 mm, a zaklepochnik.

For removal of the lock of a cowl execute the following.

1. Remove radiator facing (see. «Removal and installation of facing of a radiator»).	2. Drill four rivets of fastening of the lock of a cowl and take the lock from under the forward panel.

3. Disconnect a tip of a cable of a drive of the lock and remove the cowl lock.

4. Put the lock as it should be, the return to removal. Before installation of the lock of a cowl grease its details with konsistentny greasing, for example Litol.

5. If after installation the lock is indistinctly locked or hardly opens, adjust the provision of a latch (see below in this subsection).

For removal of a drive of the lock of a cowl execute the following.

1. Disconnect a drive cable from the cowl lock (see above in this subsection).

2. Turn out two screws of fastening of the handle of a drive to боковине bodies...	3.... also deduce the handle together with a cable from the dashboard.

4. Disconnect a tip of a cable of a drive of the lock of a cowl from the lever of the handle and remove it.

5. Take a cable, extending it in podkapotny space.

6. Establish details as it should be, the return to removal.

For removal of a latch of the lock of a cowl execute the following.

1. Turn out two bolts of fastening...	2.... also remove a latch of the lock of a cowl.

3. Establish a latch of the lock of a cowl as it should be, the return to removal.

4. If after installation the lock is indistinctly locked or hardly opens, adjust the provision of a latch.

5. Weaken an inhaling of bolts of fastening and, moving a latch in the cross-section or longitudinal direction, achieve an unaccented zakhlopyvaniye of a cowl. After that tighten screws of fastening of a latch.
