7.2.4. Repair of an amortizatorny rack of a back suspension bracket

Repair of the shock-absorber of a telescopic rack usually does not lead to desirable result therefore if necessary we recommend to replace the shock-absorber.

You will need a key «on 17».

1. Remove an amortizatorny rack from the car (see. «Removal and installation of an amortizatorny rack of a back suspension bracket»).	2. Remove from a shock-absorber rod a persistent washer if it did not remove right after removal of an amortizatorny rack from the car.

3. Clamp a rod for лыски on its end in a vice, weaken an inhaling of a nut of fastening of the bottom pillow and, having released a rod from a vice, completely screw together a nut from a carving part of a rod.

Note It is enough length of a carving part of a rod for complete removal of effort of a spring therefore preliminary installation of couplers on a spring is not required.

4. Remove the bottom pillow...

Note Strongly pressed out or hardened pillow replace.

5.... the top cup of a spring together with rubber laying...

Note Strongly pressed out or hardened laying replace.

6.... persistent washer...	7.... the compression buffer assembled with a protective cover...

Note At damage of the buffer of compression or a protective cover replace knot new.

8.... and spring.

9. Establish the shock-absorber vertically and several times against the stop lower and lift a shock-absorber rod. Be convinced that the rod moves without failures, jammings and knocks. Otherwise replace the shock-absorber. Besides, replace the shock-absorber at detection of traces of a podtekaniye of liquid (the insignificant otpotevaniye in the top part of the case is allowed) and at damage of a carving to the top part of a rod.

Prevention Shock-absorbers replace only with pairs (right and left at the same time).

10. Collect an amortizatorny rack as it should be, the return to dismantling. A nut of fastening of the bottom pillow tighten the moment of 15 N · m.
