6.1.3. Removal and coupling installation

The main malfunctions for which elimination removal and coupling dismantling are necessary:
– raised (in comparison with habitual) noise at coupling inclusion;
– breakthroughs at coupling work;
– incomplete inclusion of coupling (coupling "slips");
– incomplete switching off of coupling (coupling "conducts").

Good advice
At failure of coupling we recommend to replace at the same time everything its elements (conducted and conducting disks) as work on coupling replacement labor-consuming, and at the intact elements of coupling the resource is already lowered and if them to establish again, repeated replacement of coupling after rather small run can be demanded.

It be required to you: all tools necessary for removal of a transmission and a flywheel, and also a face head «on 17», a screw-driver.
1. Remove a transmission (see. «Removal and transmission installation»).
2. Remove a flywheel together with a conducted disk of coupling (see. «Removal, defektovka and flywheel installation»)...
3.... also take from his cavity a conducted disk.
4. Remember an arrangement of the ends of a fixing spring of a podpyatnik that at return assembly to establish it in initial situation.
5. Remove a guard of a case of coupling from directing plugs in the block of cylinders to exclude a hindrance in work in case of a spontaneous detachment of a guard.
6. Grasp the unbent end of a fixing spring of a podpyatnik пассатижами, hook it a screw-driver, take from an opening in a podpyatnik...
7.... also remove a spring...
8.... and podpyatnik.

Good advice
If will establish former press a disk, mark a relative positioning of a casing of a press disk of coupling and a cranked shaft to establish press a disk in former situation (for balancing preservation).

9. Holding a casing of a press disk of coupling from a provorachivaniye a screw-driver, turn out six bolts of fastening of a casing to a flange of a cranked shaft. An inhaling of bolts weaken evenly: each bolt on one turn of a key, passing from a bolt to a bolt on diameter.
10. Remove press a coupling disk from a cranked shaft, holding thus a lock plate of bolts of fastening of a casing of a disk.

Note
Lock plate of bolts of fastening of a casing of a press disk of coupling at each dismantling of connection replace new.

11. Examine a conducted disk of coupling. Cracks on details of a conducted disk are not allowed.
12. Check degree of wear of frictional slips. If heads of rivets are drowned less than on 0,2 mm, the surface of frictional slips is greasy or zaklepochny connections are weakened, it is necessary to replace a conducted disk.

Note
If overlays of a conducted disk are greasy, check a condition of an epiploon of primary shaft of a transmission. Probably, its replacement is required.

13. Check reliability of fixing of dempferny springs in nests of a nave of a conducted disk, trying to move them in nave nests a hand. If springs easily move in nests or are broken, replace a disk.
14. Check palpation of a conducted disk if at visual survey its buckling is revealed. If the size of palpation exceeds 0,5 mm, replace a disk.
15. Examine working surfaces of a friction of a flywheel and a press disk, having paid attention to absence deep рисок, задиров, забоин, obvious wear tracks and an overheat. Replace defective knots.
16. When weakening zaklepochny connections of details of a casing and a press disk replace press a disk assembled.
17. External survey estimate a condition of a diafragmenny spring of a press disk. Existence of cracks on a diafragmenny spring is not allowed. Places and contact of petals of a spring to a podpyatnik of switching off of coupling should be in one plane and not have obvious wear tracks (the size of wear should not exceed 0,8 mm). Otherwise replace press a disk assembled.
18. Examine a podpyatnik. At strong development of the loose leaf of a podpyatnik in a place of its contact to a rod of switching off of coupling replace a podpyatnik.
19. Strongly deformed or lost elasticity fixing spring of a podpyatnik replace.
20. Before installation of coupling check ease of moving of a conducted disk on shlitsa of primary shaft of a transmission. If necessary eliminate the reasons of jamming or replace defective details.
21. On a shlitsa of a nave of a conducted disk put refractory konsistentny greasing.
22. Establish details as it should be, the return to removal. On a carving part of bolts of fastening of a casing of a press disk put an anaerobny clamp of a carving. Tighten bolts evenly cross-wise the moment of 100 N · m.

Notes
On release cars since March, 1993 bolts of fastening of a casing of a press disk of coupling with the programmed deformation are used. Such bolts surely replace new. Tighten these bolts the moment of 60 N · m and then tighten for 90 ° everyone.
Conducted disk of coupling establish acting part of a nave towards a flywheel.

23. Establish a transmission.
24. Check work of coupling and if necessary adjust its drive (see. «Adjustment of a drive of switching off of coupling»).
